About Us

 Dearborn County Soil & Water Conservation District has obtained many 319 grants from IDEM to develop watershed management plans, educational programs and conservation practice implementation programs. Dearborn SWCD administers both Hogan Creek, Tanners Creek, and Whitewater River Watershed projects. Historic Hoosier Hills RC&D administers the South Laughery Creek Watershed project. The other watersheds located in Dearborn County currently do not have 319 grants associated with them. All watersheds in Dearborn County eventually flows into the Ohio River, Mississippi River, and finally in the Gulf of Mexico.
